Therefore, studies on the following serological tests were carried out for identification of mycoplagma. 1. In tube agglutination test, antisora raised against three species of caprina mycoplasmas gave a titre of 1 : 320 with their homologous antigens, while, in heterologous system anti-mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoidossorum agglutinated agalaction and i arginini antigens upto 1:60 dilution. similarly, anti-agalactiaesorum agglutinated mycoides subsp. mycoidosantiganupto 1:50 dilution while - arvinini only upto 1:40. Anti-agininisarum gave a titre of 1:80 with mycoidas subsp. mycoidas antigen, whereas M. agalactias gave titra only upto 1:40. Thase observations suggest more antigenic structural similarity between - nycoldes subsp. mycolder and Manalactics as compared to - arvinini 2. The agar gel precipitation test revealed at least six precipitation lines among them, two were prominent in homologous system of mycoides subsp. mycoides, Hagalactics and H. arginini. In hotarologous systems only three precipitation lines were observed among the different species of mycoplasmas.EnglishThesis
