Water samples were collected at two weeks interval for 20 weeks period and analysed. The results revealed that except the sulphate and total dissolved solids, chloride, nitrate, nitrite and total hardness were comparatively higher in open well tJum bore well water. Though the open well water had higher level ofsalts, the salt levels in both the water sources\ were within the safer level except nitrite. Bore well water given layers recorded betterHDEP, HHEP and feed efficiency when compared to layers getting water from open well.
