Nendran (AAB), Pisang Lilin (AA), Karpooravalli (ABB), Njalipoovan (AB), Grand Naine (AAA) and Yangambi km5 (AAA), which were collected from the Banana Research Station, Kannara. Nedunendran banana of the variety Nendran variety was used in the present study.
