The microsatellite loci of interest were amplified by polymerase chain reaction and the resulting augmented products were run on a genetic analyser. Allele sizes, analysed with the help of a gene mapping software, were measured and compared, to determine similarities between the progeny and their putative parents. Conclusively, the microsatellites were found to be a reliable molecular tool in parent- age analysis due to its uniform distribution throughout the genome.en-USVeterinary ScienceCanine Parentage Verification Using Microsatellite MarkersArticle
