Examination of Giemsa stained peripheral thin blood smears revealed 16.12% (35/35) positivity for morulae of Ehrlichia canis. Hematological parameters showed monocytosis (91.42%) and thrombocytopenia, activated platelets (17.14%) and hypochromasia (42.85%). All dogs were treated with Doxycycline for twenty one days along with supportive therapy.
