Twenty four cooperative dogs with good owner compliance were selected from the cases of cataract based on the suitability for anaesthesia.They were divided randomly into two groups consisting of twelve dogs each and each group was again sub divided into subgroup A (nondiabetic) and subgroup B (diabetic) consisting of six dogs each.
