Abstract
The field experiments were conducted during 2021-22 and 2022-23 in rabi season on
wheat crop with different treatments combination of inorganic nutrients (N, P, K, S,
Zn and Fe) with organic manure (FYM) and biofertilizers i.e., PSB and Azotobacter
with 11 treatments and 3 replications in Randomized Block design on a Inceptisols
soil order of central plain zone of Uttar Pradesh. The wheat variety HD-2967 was
used. The treatments were T1: CONTROL, T2: 100 % NPK, T3: 100 % NPK + 5 ton
FYM, T4: 100 % NPK + PSB + Azotobacter, T5: 125% NPK + PSB + Azotobacter +
5 ton FYM, T6: 100 % NPK + S40, T7: 100 % NPK + Zn5, T8: 100 % NPK + S40 +
Zn5, T9: 100 % NPK + S40 +Zn5 + Fe10, T10: 100 % NPK + S40 + Zn5 + Fe10 +
Azotobacter + PSB + 5 ton FYM, T11: 125 % NPK. Observation were recorded on
growth character, yield attribute, grain and straw yield, nutrient concentration and
uptake in grain and straw to find out the total nutrient absorption for a particular
treatment.
Results showed that plant growth, yield contributing characters, grain and
straw yield, nutrients uptake, crop quality and number of bacteria, fungi and
actinomycetes were significantly increased in treatments over control. The lower
value of control 18.87 q ha-1 grain yield, 29.15 q ha-1 straw yield, N (1.53 % and
0.32 %), P (0.31 % and 0.13 %), K (0.84 % and 0.34 %), S (0.11 % and 0.14 %), Zn
(31.35 ppm and 8.45 ppm) and Fe (43.29 ppm and 25.34 ppm) nutrient
concentration in grain and straw and total nutrient uptake N (37.98 kg ha-1), P (9.55
kg ha-1), K (30.69 kg ha-1), S (7.84 kg ha-1), Zn (83.84g ha-1) and Fe (155.84 g ha-1)
and quality in terms of protein (9.53 %), lysine (3.10 g/16gN) and methionine (1.11
g/16gN) and the best treatments of 100 % NPK + S40 + Zn5 + Fe10 + Azotobacter +
PSB + 5 ton FYM gave 49.27 q ha-1 grain yield, 114.61 q ha-1 straw yield, N
(112.64 kg ha-1), P (35.87 kg ha-1), K (195.03 kg ha-1), S (33.32 kg ha-1), Zn (289 g
ha-1) and Fe (522.33 g ha-1). This treatment have the highest B : C ratio. Indicating
that the yield and quality of the crop could be improved considerably in the latter
over the former treatment. Thus it was inferred that application of integrated plant
nutrient was useful for high yield and quality and for improvement in soil fertility.
