Abstract
Generalized subcutaneous emphysema (GSE) may occur trou- matically. iatrogehlcaily or spontaneously. Rupture of trecheobronchlai tree is a common cause and should be suspected in any animal with generalized sub- cutaneous emphysema (Miller. 1980, Bauer and Currie. 1968). Etloioqicel diagnosis is ueually made by clinical examination, radiography and traoheobronohoscopy. A case of GSE in e non - descript dog due to traumatic cervical tracheel rupture diagnosed by tracheobronchoscopy is described.
