Constraints in preparation of silage

Abstract
Silage is a product formed when grass or other material of sufficiently high moisture content (e.g., forage legumes and forage corn) liable to spoilage by aerobic microorganisms is stored anaerobically. However, ensiling forages has its own set of disadvantages. There can be extensive losses in storage if the silage is mismanaged. This loss of nutrients and other problems can be overcome by sufficient guidelines which need to be followed during ensilage.
