An investigation on “Effect of different pruning intensities and foliar application of nutrients on growth, yield and fruit quality of fig (Ficus carica L.) cv. Dinkar” was carried out at Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture, Banda University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda during 2021-22. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (Factorial) with twelve treatment combinations and three replications. All the growth, yield and quality parameters were periodically observed. Analysis of results revealed that the treatment combination P4F2 (75% Pruning + 1.5% Potassium nitrate) recorded the maximum annual shoot growth (3.10 m), leaf area (281.00 cm 2 ), average fruit weight (27.50 gm), fruit volume (21.90 ml), fruit length (4.30 cm), fruit breadth (6.20 cm), L* value of colour (37.53), b* value of colour (13.78), specific gravity (1.262), minimum 11itrable acidity (0.20%), reducing sugar (13.60%), non-reducing sugar (2.49%), total sugar (16.09%) and TSS (23.00 0Brix). However, minimum days taken to sprouting (21.33 days), maximum increment in plant height (12.50 cm), tree spread (E-W) (3.57 m), tree spread (N-S) (3.20m), average number of leaves per plant (2,150.00), average number of fruits per plant (605.00), fruit yield per plant (5.85 kg), a* value of colour (5.35) were noticed with the treatment combination P2F2 (25% Pruning + 1.5% Potassium nitrate), while maximum firmness (3.00 N/mm) and shelf life in refrigerated condition (12 days) were found with the treatment combination P2F3 (25% Pruning + 1.5% Calcium nitrate) and minimum fruit drops (65%) was with the treatment combination P4F3 (75% Pruning + 1.5% Calcium nitrate). On the basis of research findings, it can be concluded that in order to increase the yield of fig, the treatment combination P2F2 (25% Pruning + 1.5% Potassium nitrate) showed the best performance while if fruit quality is to be improved in fig, the treatment combination P4F2 (75% Pruning + 1.5% Potassium nitrate) showed the best performance in cv.
