Abstract
Ectoparasides of veterinary species mainly belongs to the classes Insecta and
Arachinicla. lnsecta includes flies, lice and fleas, whereas arachinida contains
ticks and mites. Ectoparasiticides are agents used to kill or eradicate animal
parasites infesting the external surface of body. These are widely used in
veterinary medicine to control severe parasitic infestations. It constitutes a
diverse group of chemicals. These agents are among the most widely used and
misused drugs in veterinary medicine.
