Abstract
An experiment with functional feeds rich in omega-3 fatty acids, carotenoid pigments, Vitamin-E and selenium was carried out to enrich the nutritional value of chicken eggs. The study revealed that dietary manipulation did not affect egg production and egg quality adversely. Moreover, the hens which consumed the functional had a favourable lipid profile for optimal health.
