The present investigation entitled “Effect of Integrated Plant Nutrient Management on growth, yield and quality of guava (Psidium guajava L) cv. Pant Prabhat” on five years old guava tree was carried out during April, 2007 to January, 2009 at Horticulture Research Centre, Patharchatta, Department of Horticulture, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block design with 11 treatments replicated thrice with two trees per replication. The treatments combinations consisting of T1 (control: 500g: 200g: 500g NPK tree-1), T2 [T1 + Zn (0.5%) + B (0.2%) + Mn (1%) as foliar spray twice (August and October)], T3 (T1 + organic mulching 10 cm thick), T4 (T2 + organic mulching 10 cm thick), T5 (half T1 + 50 kg FYM + 250 g Trichoderma), T6 [half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K) + 50 kg FYM enriched with 250g Azospirillum], T7 [half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K) + Azotobacter (250g) + 50 kg FYM], T8 (half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K) + 25 kg FYM + 5kg Vermicompost ), T9 [half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K) + 50 kg FYM + 250 g Pseudomonas fluorescence], T10 [half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K) + 50 kg FYM + Trichoderma (250g) + Pseudomonas fluorescence (250g)] and T11 [half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P:150g K)+ 50 kg FYM enriched with Aspergillus niger]. Trees grown with half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P: 150g K) + 50 kg FYM enriched with 250 g Azospirillum tree-1year-1 produced maximum tree height, tree spread, tree girth, tree volume, number of new shoots emergence per branch, annual increase in shoot length, number of flower bud emergence per branch, per cent fruit set, per cent fruit retention, number of fruits, average fruit weight, average fruit length, average fruit diameter, average fruit volume, yield kg tree-1 and total yield . Treatment consisting of 500g : 200g : 500g NPK tree-1 + Zn (0.5%) + B (0.2%) + Mn (1%) as foliar spray twice (August and October) + organic mulching 10 cm thick was effective in increasing quality characters viz. total soluble solids, ascorbic acid, per cent reducing sugars, per cent non reducing sugar, per cent total sugars, TSS:acid ratio, sugar: acid ratio and pectin content. Maximum leaf N and K content was observed in treatment containing half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P: 150g K) + 50 kg FYM enriched with 250 g Azospirillum tree-1year-1. Maximum leaf P content was recorded in treatment consisting of half dose of recommended fertilizers (225g N: 195g P: 150g K) + 50 kg FYM + Trichoderma (250g) + Pseudomonas fluorescence (250g).en_US
