Abstract
An investigation to study the effect of “Integrated nutrient management studies in chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) under Chhattisgarh plains” was carried out at the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh during the year 2012- 2013 in randomized block design (RBD) with three replication and twelve treatments comprising of combination and optimum doses of biofertilizers, organic manures and inorganic fertilizers. Application of Azo+PSB+50%VC equivalent to RD„N‟+50% RDF was found to be more effective in increasing the vegetative growth parameters like plant height, plant spread, number of branches per plant as well as flowering attributes viz., flower diameter, number of flowers per plant, number of florets per flower, average flower weight, flower yield per plant and flower yield per hectare. It also showed beneficial effect on available soil phosphorous and potassium. The maximum net return and benefit: cost ratio was also obtained under treatment Azo+PSB+50%VC equivalent to RD„N‟+50% RDF. Whereas, earlier flower blooming, maximum duration of flowering as well as available soil nitrogen and longer shelf life was recorded with the treatment Azo+PSB+50% FYM equivalent to RD„N‟+50% RDF.
