Abstract

An attempt was made to investigate the broiler performance raised on used litter subjected to windrow composting and disinfectant spray by using Gluteraldehyde – (Kohrsolin-Th) at 50% concentration. The windrow size of 4 feet length, 2.5 feet width and 1 feet 3 inches height was found to be suitable in this experiment. The average pile temperature reached 46.93 ± 2.29 ˚C during the primary stage and 51.75 ± 1.48 ˚C during the secondary stage.
