Abstract
Nutritive evaluation of Gliricidia maculata leaves was made using three Tellicheri bucks in a 67 days feeding trail. The leaves were found to be rich in crude protein (20.58%) and the average dry matter consumption was 3.26 kg / 100 kg body weight. Average digestible coefficient for DM, CP, EE, CF and NFE were 56.31, 84.55, 36.20, 59.83 and 50.54% respectively. The DCP and TDN contents were 17.40 and 55.66% respectively with narrow nutrive ratio of 2.19. The bucks were on positive nitrogen balance with average daily gain of 65 g.
