Abstract
The iDvestigation was carried out in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. All the Village Extension Officers and Agricultural Officers in the respondents for this study. experience, attitude towards district were selected as the · EXperience in T & V system, total T & v system, atti~ude towards farmers, achievement motivation, job satisfaction, perception of work load and morale were selected as independent v_ariables and the existing organisational climate and desirable organisational climate were selected as dependent variables. The data were collected by using a questionnaire and then coded, analysed with appropriate statistical tools like correlation coefficient and 't • -test and results \'lere drawn. The salient findings of the investigation are: The investigation revealed that majority of the both A.os and V.E.os were in the category of facilitating group with regard to their perception of existing and desirable organisational climate. There was significant difference between perceptions of existing and desirable oreanisational climates perceived by A.Os and V.E.Os. Majority of both A.Os and V.E.Os were in the medil~ category with regard to the experience in T & V system and total experience. Majority of both A.Os and v.E.Os were found neutral in their attitude towards T & V system and attitude towards farmers. With regard to the variables viz.,- achievement motivation, job satisfaction, perception .of workload and morale, the both A.os and v.E.Os were in the medil~ category. The.relationship between the selected independent variables and existing organisational climate perceived by A.Os indicated that, attitude towards T & v system, attitude towards farmers and job satisfaction had positive and highly significant relationship, the variable morale had positive and significant correlation v1i th the existing organisational climate. The variables experience in T & V system and total experience had negative but non-significant relationship. The other two variables viz., achievement motivation and perception of workload had positive but non-significant ~relationship with the existing o~ganisational climate perceived by A.Os. With respect to v.E.os, the variables viz., attftude tO\'Iards T & V system, attitude towards farmers, achievement motivatio~, job satisfaction and morale had positive and highly significant relationship, whereas the variable perC?eption of workload · had negative and highly significant relation with the existing organisational cl.imate perceived by v.E.os. The variable experience in T & V system had positive but non-significant relation whereas total experience had negative and non-signifi~ant relationship with the existing organisational climate perceived by V.E.os.With regard to the desirable organisational climate all the eight independent variables had non-significant relationship. The three variables viz., total experience,· attitliDe towards farmers and perception of workload had positive relationship and the remaining variables had negative relationship with the desirable organisational climate perceived by A.Os. With respect to V.E.os, the variable morale ~d negative and highly significant relationship. The variables viz., experience in T & V system, and total experience had positive but non-significant relationship with the desirable organisati~nal climate; The remaining variables had negative and non-significant relation with the desirable organisational climate. Major problems reported by the A.Os and V.E.os were lack of inputs in required quantity, lack of accommodation and infrastructnral facilities, lack of co-operation and co-ordination among inp\tt agencies, co-operatives ana department of agriculture, lack of promotional chances etc.
