Abstract
The ability of the morbilli viruses to persist in their hosts and cause chronic degenerative desease of the central nervous system has been well documented in the case of measles and canine distemper viruses. A preliminary study was done to identify rinderpest virus (RPV) antigen in the brain of infected sheep and cattle.
