Abstract
The present investigation on“G X E interaction studies for Yield and quality aspects in grain Amaranthus (Amaranthus hypochondriacus L.)” was undertaken with the objectives, to identify the stable genotype(s) of grain Amaranthus, to study the correlation and path analysis between yield and yield contributing characters and to study the quality parameters of grain Amaranthus genotypes. A field experiment was conducted to evaluate twenty promising genotypes of Amaranthus, under four sowing dates viz., E1(15th June 2014), E2 (15th July 2014), E3 (15th October 2014) and E4 (15th November 2014) in a Randomized Block Design with three replications at the Post Graduate Institute Farm, Department of Botany, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences for all the characters in all the four environment under study. E4 environment (15th November 2014) recorded higher mean value for seed yield and it’s yield contributing components
