Abstract
Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) marker were used for gemetic diversity analysis of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri isolates. A total of 13 RAPD primers were used. Amplification of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri Genomic DNA of strains, using RAPD analysis, detected 153 amplicons that could be scored, of which 150 amplicons were polymorphic, with an average polymorphic 11.53 amplicons per primers, while monomorphic detected 3 bands, with an average 0.23 amplicons per primer. The range of polymorphism per primer ranged from 7 bands 87.50 %or (OPA-13) to 18 bands or 100% (OPX-11). The size of amplification products ranged from 50 bp (OPG-04) to 3000 (OP A-20, OPG-09 and OPX-11). The average similarity coefficient value for 14 isoaltes were found to be 0.302. the Xac-10 and Xac-11 shared highest similarity (55%). The isoalte Xac-3 was most diverse with 88% diversity.
