Abstract
The treatment details are T1= RDF of NPK @ 200:100:100 kg/ha + FYM @ 15 t/ha, T2 =75% of RDF of NPK, T3 =75% of RDF of NPK + Azotobacter@ 5 kg/ha, T4 = 75% of RDF of NPK + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha + PSB @ 5 kg/ha, T5 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 7.5 t/ha, T6 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 5 t/ha + Azotobacter@ 5 kg/ha, T7 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 2.5 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha + PSB @ 5 kg/ha, T8 =75% of RDF of NPK + FYM @ 30 t/ha, T9 =75% of RDF of NPK + FYM @ 25 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha, T10=75% of RDF of NPK + FYM @ 20 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha + PSB @ 5 kg/ha, T11 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 10 t/ha,T12 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 7.5 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha, T13 =75% of RDF of NPK + Vermicompost @ 7.5t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha + PSB @ 5 kg/ha, T14=100% Organic (Panchagavya 1lit/plant + Jeevamrutha 1lit/plant), T15=75% of RDF of NPK + Organic (Panchagavya 1lit/plant + Jeevamrutha 1lit/plant), T16= Control. The analysis of variance showedthatamong the differenttreatments listed above there was significant variation.The experimental results showed that T7 recorded superior plant height (48.53, 102.93, 137.57 and 191.33 cm) at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after transplanting respectively and maximum number of branches per plant (12.33), Leaf Area Index (2.85). T13reportedhigher dry matter accumulation per plant (220.33 g). Reproductive parameters such as minimum number days taken for first flowering (32.87 days),more number of flowers per plant (83.67),flowers per cluster(11.93)were observed in T13.Whereas, minimum number of days(30.10) taken by T7for fruit set from flowering. T10 recorded lesser number of days (37.73) taken for 50% flowering whileT13recorded higher percentage of fruit set (90.00%) and least number of days (97.3) taken for first harvest. Yield parameters were observedsuperior in T13with higher fruit length (7.43 cm), fruit breadth (6.45 cm), fruit weight (143 g), fruit volume (246.67 cc), greater yield per plant (11.37 kg), yield per plot (55.00 kg) and total yield (137.50 t/ha). Quality characters likeTSS (6.17 °Brix), ascorbic acid content (27.37 mg/100 g) were recorded highest in theT13. While, T7noted higher lycopene content (8.67 mg/100 g).Treatment T13 also recorded with lowerphysiological loss in weight (under both shrink wrap and unwrapped condition) and maximum shelf life under both the storage condition.T13furthermanifested maximum amount of post-harvest available NPK (326.00 kg/ha, 38.77 kg/ha, 268.99 kg/ha respectively).
Description
An experiment on “Integrated Nutrient Management Studies on Growth, Yield and Quality of Tomato (SolanumlycopersicumL.) under protected condition” was conducted atVegetable Research Farm, Dept. of Vegetable Science, College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradeshin the year 2018-19 using ‘Safal-41’ (F1 hybrid)to findthe best INM approach for tomato under protected condition. The experiment was carried out in a Randomised Block Design with16 treatmentswith 2 replications.
