EFFECT OF GENISTEIN ON NN- DIETHYLNITROSAMINE INDUCED HEPATOCARCINOGENESIS IN RATS

Abstract
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of genistein against NN- diethylnitrosamine (DEN) induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wistar albino rats. One hundred and fifty eight Wistar albino male and female rats were randomly divided into four groups. DEN was administered orally (0.01% in drinking water ad libitum) to induce hepatic cancer in rats and genistein was administered at 2.2 mg/kg BW by oral intubation on alternate days for 90 days.
