Abstract
Subabul (Leucaena leucocephala) leaves are good top feed resource to livestock especially goats. However, there have been reports of occasional ill effects of feeding subabul in livestock due to its mimosine content which acts as an anti-metabolite inhibiting the utilization of tyrosine needed for the formation of hair and wool (Johnes 1979).
