Abstract
Forty two isolates of Campylobacter jejuni obtained from raw milk samples were
characterized by PCR-RFLP technique. ln PCR-RFLP, the hipO gene amplicons were digested using
three restriction enzymes namely, Mn/l, Xcel and Psul. All samples showed similar proļ¬les with
Xcel, Mn}! and Psul, indicating no polymorphism. This assay can be performed in one work day, is
highly discrimi-natory, and is much more efficient than classical phenotypic identification.
