Abstract
Post-mortem examination of a duck died
with the history of enteritis revealed many
tapeworms occluding the small intestine. Based
on the morphological features the worms were
identified as Hymenolepis lanceolata. This is the
first report of H. lanceolata recorded in a duck
from Cauvery Delta Region.
