Abstract
A four month old, Domestic Short Haired female kitten was presented to the referral hospital, Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, Chennai, with a history of dull, stunted growth, hyporexia, polyuria, and distended abdomen. Rough hair coat, dehydration and pale mucosa were observed upon clinical examination. Plain survey radiographs revealed renomegaly with fluid shadow. Abdominal ultrasonography showed bilateral enlargement of kidneys, multiple, large anechoic areas separated by thin septum, occupied almost 90% of renal parenchyma and confirmed as a polycystic kidney disease.
