Study of foreign body syndrome in camels ( Camelus dromedarius)

Abstract
Total 485 camels were examined at the college clinic, clinical camp and at the door step in north Gujarat region (Banaskantha, Patan and Mehsana districts). The common complains of these cases were partial or complete anorexia for long time and reduction in general health condition. All these cases were examined with metal detector to check the presence of any metallic foreign body. Out of which 252 (51.96 per cent) were adult male, 172 t35.46 per cent) were adult female and 61 (12.58 per cent) were male calves.
