Abstract
The present study was carried out on the clinical cases of German
shepherd dogs showing hind limb gait abnormality to the Small Animal Orthopedics unit of Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital. A total of 18 dogs With hind limb gait abnormality and 12 number of German shepherd dogs with no gait abnormality which was presented for the routine screening were subjected to the study. Detailed clinical, orthopaedic, neurologic examination were performed to differentiate the affection of lumbosacral disease from coxofemoral joint affection
