EVALUATION OF DISSEMINATED INTRAVASEULAR COAGULATION IN DOGS WITH EHRLICHIOSIS AND BABESIOSIS

Abstract
This prospective study was designed to evaluate Disseminated lntravascular Coagulation (DIC) in dogs naturally infected with Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis. The goals of this study were to study the prevalence of DIC in dogs suffering with Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis, to evaluate the clinical, hematological, biochemical and coagulation proļ¬le of DIC in dogs suffering with Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis and to assess the efficacy of recent treatment protocols for the stabilizing the hemostatic disorder in dogs with Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis.
