Abstract
Analysis of benzimidazole resistance in H. contortus of sheep in
northeastern zone of Tamil Nadu was undertaken. A total of 591 dung samples
were collected from sheep of randomly selected villages of Tiruvallur, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai and Kancheepuram districts that represent northeastern zone of Tamil Nadu. Upon screening the samples by floatation technique, 460 were found to be positive For gastrointestinal parasites among which strongyles were the most
predominant ones.
