Abstract
Optimisation of reagents and conditions used in PCR has been carried out for detection of
infectious bursal disease virus. Va~ng concentratioJ;1 of Taq DNA polymerase and dNTP mix
does not much affect the PCR assay whereas varying concentration of MgC12, IBD specific primers
and annealing temperature has pronounced effect on the amplification reaction.
