Abstract
Mortality rate In sheep due to Fasciola glgantica In Nilglris district-of Tamil Nadu
was studied between April 1998 and March 1999. The overall mortality was 19.7%.
High mortality rate (15.8%) was observed In summer followed by Southwest monsoon
(3.8%) and winter (0.6%) respectively. No mortality was recorded during Northeast
monsoon season.
