Abstract
Pearl millet [Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.] is a multi-purpose grain/fodder
crop of semi-arid regions where many of the world’s undernourished people live.
Pearl millet grain can be biofortified by selective breeding to help alleviate
micronutrient deficiencies among its grain consumers, especially in developing
countries where Zn and Fe micronutrient deficiencies are common.
