Abstract
Wheat is an important cereal crop in India and fifth largest producing state in Rajasthan in which area under wheat was 21.02 lakh hectares and production was 58.70 lakh tonnes (2006). The present study was conducted with the objectives growth rates, input use pattern, cost and returns on different cost concepts basis and constraints in wheat production. The study was conducted in Banswara district of Rajasthan. Bagidora tehsil was selected purposively on the basis of highest area and production. Two villages viz. Chinch (Irrigated village) and Karji (Unirrigated village) were selected on the basis of highest area under wheat.
