The present study attempts to assess the present status of e-NAM Bahadajhola, Nayagarh district, operational mechanism of e-NAM, Farmer’s problem in e-NAM, marketing channel of green gram. Cultivation practices and socio-economic overview of farmer in Nayagarh district. The study is based on both primary and secondary date. For fulfilling the objective of the study, both primary and secondary information on various parameters were collected. The details of market were collected from Odisha State Agricultural Marketing Board. The market has been grouped according to the ownership and management and mode of functioning for purpose of eliciting the information for the study. Field visits were made to the market under different ownership and management for discussion with different stakeholders like farmers, traders, village trader, RMC officials etc. to enumerate the problem being faced by them have been discussed. Then the data were process using analytical tools and techniques. The major constraint of the study is the limited period of time, specific region of the Nayagarh district. Nayagarh is a pulses potential district in Odisha. But in recent year there is sharp decline in production of pulse. This is due to irregular of monsoon, improper irrigation facility, unavailability fertilizer, seed lack of post- harvest management practices and biotic/abiotic constraints. The outcome of marginal farmer the result suggests that the majority of the farmer in Nayagarh belongs to small/. So, it is difficult for them to come with bulky amount due to high transportation cost. Based on Garrett ranking table the major problem is registration on e-NAM portal as majority are illiterate and they have no idea on market information so fluctuation of price create problem for them. And there is unavailability of drying/Threshing infrastructure, no parking area and lack awareness is the major constraints for them. One RMC can’t procure commodity from whole Nayagarh district. All the sub market yard of Bahadajhola RMC does not integrate with e-NAM with lack of assaying, internet, staffing facility. As there is lack of competition in trading so farmer unable recover its MSP price. Since the e-NAM launched in 2017 April about 235 farmer and 44 no of trader participated in the e-NAM platform. As the farmer habituated in traditional method of trading. The local market is dominated by the unlicensed trader. So, the OAPM act should be strengthed.so that the illegal trader can be traded through e-NAM. There should be provision of Price Support System Insurance, Incentive and Trading Allowance so that the RMC can attract maximum no of farmer and trader. As majority farmer illiterate so there should awareness about post- harvest management and scope of e-NAM. From the study, it is revealed that lot of infrastructures and provisions are needed to be set up for bringing this RMC into mainstream e-NAM.
