Abstract
The investigation entitled, “Varietal performance of fenugreek under Marathwada condition” was carried out at experimental field Department of Horticulture, Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani during Rabi 2010-11. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with ten treatments and replication thrice. The vegetative growth parameters like, height of plant, number of branches and number of leaves per plant were influenced significantly due to different treatments. The maximum height of plant (82.67 cm) was recorded in treatment Methi no 47, while the maximum number of branches (6.78) was also observed in treatment Methi no 47. The minimum values of plant height, number of branches were observed in variety Kasuri. In case of plant spread east-west and north-south the variety Methi no 47 shows maximum spread. The minimum spread was recorded in variety Kasuri. The maximum fresh weight of shoot per plot was recorded in variety Methi no 47(8.33kg) but in case minimum fresh weight of shoot was observed in variety Kasuri. In case of pod length it was observed in variety Methi no 47, number of pod per plant during the experiment was observed in variety Methi no 47 (10.20cm). Number of seeds per pod again it was recorded in variety in Methi No 47 (19.58) followed by PEB the minimum number of seeds per pod was recorded in variety Kasuri. In case of seed yield per plot and hectare was observed in Methi no 47 and also in case of germination percentage also. The minimum number of seed yield and germination percentage was recorded in variety Kasuri
