Abstract
Newcastle disease (ND) is a major constraint to village poultry production throughout developing countries,
frequently causing mortality rates of 75 to 100 per cent in unvaccinated flocks (Spradbrow, 1992). Turkey
farming is getting fast growth in southern regions. Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the leading states in turkey
production.
