Abstract
Azolla, a water fern is known to have high
nitrogen content and offers a potential source of
protein and energy for swine (Alcantara and
Querubin, 1989). Desi pigs are mostly reared on
seavenging. On optimum feeding of balanced diets
they grow more and perform better. Further the
information on scientific feeding of desi pigs is very
scarce.
