Abstract
A study was undertaken to explore the possibility of reusing old litter after rearing
a single batch, as litter material for broilers. A total of two hundred day- old Commercial
broiler Chicks were randomly allotted to five treatment groups viz, T1- control
(conventional fresh litter ~ coir pith), T2- used broiler litter treated by windrow method,
T3- used broiler litter treated with disinfectant solution for next four weeks. A six weeks growth trial followed by slaughter studies was carried out.
