Abstract
A study was undertaken in rural Tamil Nadu to ascertaĆn the role of
livestock in ensuring nutritional security, to estimate the contribution of livestock
in income and employment generation, to measure the impact of livestock on
poverty and inequality and to identify various impediments in livestock farming.
