Abstract
Fifty six samples of chicken sera, were subjected to ELISA and AB-ELISA simultaneously for antibodies of Toxoplasma gondii. Nineteen samples were found to have positive titres when screened by ELISA whereas 28 samples appeared to be positive when screened by AB-ELISA. Nine samples found with no titre at all by ELISA had minimum antibody titre by AB-ELISA (1 in 50). The seropositivity of T. gondii infection in chicken as evaluated by ELISA was 33.93 per cent with titres ranging from 100 to 400, whereas that, as evaluated by AB-ELISA was 50 per cent with titres ranging from 50 to 800.
