Abstract
Incidence of Ehrlichia canis in dogs was studied by screening 207 suspected dogs
attending Madras Veterinary College clinics over a period of eight months. A prevalence
rate of 14.97 percent of E. canis'inâtection was recorded during the period.The percentage
of infection was found to vary between different breeds (Pomeranian 25.37 per cent and
Non-descript dogs 2.70 per cent) and a seasonal variation was also observed.
