Abstract
The Study was undertaken for structural and environmental analysis of naturally ventilated polyhouse in semi arid region of Udaipur district. For this study the dead load ,live load and wind load have been determined as per IS code 875 Part1, IS code 875 Part2, IS code 875 Part3, IS code 875 Part5 and IS code 14462-1997 for whole structure. Then load on individual member of structure were determined for Udaipur condition. Based on loads on the structure and stress analysis the individual members were tested for its strength and factor of safety. Critical sections with minimum factor of safety were identified. Microclimate study has been done its variation without shadenet, with 50 % shadenet and at different curtain opening i.e. fully closed, 0.5 m, 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m side vent opening condition. Total dead load and live load acting on truss was observed 1.984 KN, 12.00 KN respectively. Wind load has been estimated using IS: 875 Part 3. As per IS code basic wind velocity is 47 m /s for Udaipur district. Wind load acting on polyhouse truss have been estimated for whole structure and individual member of polyhouse truss. The design wind speed and design wind pressure were found to be 43.56 m/s and 1.138 KN/m2 respectively. Wind load acting on truss was found 210.4 KN. Stress analysis on individual component of truss was made. It were found that member number 5, 15, 26 and 31 which are under tension and member number 10, 16, 21 and 32 which are under compression not able to resist loads acting on it. Appropriate section has been suggested for this estimated load for this region. The factor of safety ranges for 0.38 to 2.85. Critical section were identified are mainly bracing. In spatial variation in temperature and relative humidity, in different side vent opening in without shadenet condition, at 1m side vent opening condition (T3) provide uniform temperature and Relative humidity inside polyhouse structure. In different side vent opening with shadenet condition, at 2m side vent opening condition (T10), provide uniform temperature and inside polyhouse structure. Temporal variation in temperature and Relative humidity, in different side vent opening in without shadenet condition, at 1m side vent opening condition (T3) provide uniform temperature and relative humidity inside polyhouse structure during a day. In different side vent opening with shadenet condition, At 2m side vent opening condition 94 (T10), provide uniform temperature and Relative humidity inside polyhouse structure during a day. It is recommended in different side vent opening in without shadenet condition, at 1m side vent opening provide favorable microclimate inside polyhouse structure. In different side vent opening with shadenet condition, at 2m side vent opening provide favorable microclimate inside polyhouse structure.
