Abstract
The study “Coverage of career issues in print media- A comparative study of selected newspapers” was undertaken with objectives to study and map the coverage of career issues in different newspapers and to compare the coverage of career issues in different newspapers. The study was conducted exclusively on career issues. Study considered various parameters like Story count, Streams covered, Types, Interviews, Pictures and Themes etc. the study revealed that The Indian Express does not come up with any career supplement. The career supplement “Jobs & Careers” of The Tribune presented topics in very wide range by giving ample space to the streams like Career Counseling, Education, Job & Career Fundas. “HT Career Guide” of Hindustan Times gives more information regarding the Office Fundas and Management. “Education Times” of The Times of India has given more coverage to the stories relating to the career counseling. “Opportunities” of The Hindu comes out with the minimum coverage of stories. But none of the newspapers has covered the agricultural related issues
