Anoestrum in crossbred cattle and its response to treatment with secrodyl

On the basis of the results obtained in the present study, it can be safely concluded that the optimum dose of Secrodyl is, 2 ml intramuscularly on the first day followed by 1 ml intramuscularly daily for next 3 days for the treatment of true anoestrum in cattle.

Studies on Certain factors influencing conception rate in cows

On the basis of the results obtained in the present experiment it was concluded that conception rate in cows can be increased significantly if administration of 500 mg of ampicillin one hour before insemination or 50 I.U. of oxytocin intramuscularly, five minutes before insemination or udder massage for 2 minutes, five minutes before insemination is practiced. Similarly, in the case of heifers conception rate can be remarkably increased if 50 1.U. of oxytocin is given intramascularly, five minutes before insemination. Great improvement in conception rate can be brought about both in cows and heifers if clitoral message is done for 10 seconds, five minutes before insemination
