Abstract: Two years old male Persian cat was presented to the Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, Hospital with history of inappetence, haematuria and dysuria for five days. Cat had elevated temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and abdominal discomfort. Ultrasonographic examination revealed distended bladder with cystitis. Using tom catheter around 100 ml of urine was removed. Urinary analysis revealed, pH below 6.5, specific gravity around 1.045, presence of the proteins, leucocytes and microscopic examination of the sediment revealed calcium oxalate crystals. Cat was treated with oral amoxicillin and clavulanic acid twice daily for two weeks along with potassium citrate and the cat showed uneventful recovery.
