Abstract: Field experiment was conducted to stud y effect of spacing and nutrients on growth, yield and quality of guava cv. Sardar, during the year 2017-18 at Kittur Rani Channamma College of Horticulture, Arabhavi, University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot. Significantly highest plant height, stem girth, plant spread (N-S and E-W), canopy volume maximum number of secondary and tertiary branches were recorded in wider spacing 6 m x 6 m. Total number of flowers per plant, fruit weight, pulp weight, seed weight, pulp to seed ratio and yield per plant were found to be significantly higher in spacing of 6 m x 6 m, which was followed by 6 m x 3 m, whereas significantly highest yield per hectare was found in the closer spacing (2 m x 1 m). Significantly higher TSS, ascorbic acid, brix acid ratio and lower titratable acidity was recorded in 6 m x 6 m spacing. Highest values for plant height, stem girth, plant spread (N-S and E-W), canopy volume and maximum number of secondary and tertiary branches were found in F1 (200:80:150 g NPK/ plant). The treatment F1 (200:80:150 g NPK/ plant) nutrition showed significantly minimum days taken for flower initiation, maximum number of flowers per plant, per cent fruit set, yield per plant, yield per hectare, fruit weight, pulp weight, seed weight and pulp to seed ratio. Significantly highest TSS, ascorbic acid, brix acid ratio and lowest titratable acidity was recorded in the F1 (200:80:150 g NPK/ plant) nutrition. The treatment S5F1 (6 m x 6 m spacing with 200:80:150 g NPK/ plant) recorded significantly highest plant height, per cent fruit set, TSS, ascorbic acid, brix acid ratio and lowest titratable acidity was recorded in the S5F1 (6 m x 6 m spacing with 200:80:150 g NPK/plant) nutrition. Significantly highest yield per hectare was recorded in the S1F1 (2 m x 1 m spacing with 200:80:150 g NPK/plant) nutrition.
