Abstract: Thedailyrainfalldataof25years(1990-2014)wereanalyzedtodeterminethe annual one daymaximumrainfall ofCentral TelanganaofTelangana(Khammam, WarangalandMedak),India.TheobservedvalueswereestimatedbyWeibull‘splotting position and predicted values were estimated by three well known probability distributionfunctionsviz.,Normal, Log—Pearsontype-III and Gumbel.Theexpected valueswerecomparedwiththeobservedvaluesandgoodnessoffitwasdeterminedby chi—square(x2)test. TheobtainedresultsinferredthatforKhammaminthemonthsofApril and December, increasingtrendofprecipitationwhereasfortheremainingmonthsthereis notrend. ForMedak, inthemonthsofAugustandDecember, increasingtrend was observedandforremainingmonthsthereisnotrend. ForWarangal, inthemonthof March, thereisaincreasingtrendand forremainingmonthsthereisnotrend. For annualtheMedakdistrictshowingdecreasingtrend. Key words: Rainfall, Probability ofoccurrence, Probability ofexceedence, Returnperiod, Mean,Frequencyfactor, Standarddeviation, Coefficientofvariation, CoefficientofskewnessandTrend
