Abstract: The experiment was conducted on effect of feeding mulberry variety Si635 on biology and economic traits of different bivoltine silkworm races at Department of Agricultural Entomology, College of Agriculture, Latur. The experiment was conducted in randomized block design with four replications and six treatments using KSOi, CSR5, NP2, APS4, APS5, KPGa bivoltine races Nov-Dec 2013. The shortest larval duration (27.50 days), pupal duration (10.35 days), highest moth emergence (90.50 per cent), maximum fecundity (478.00 eggs) and higher hatching (97.25 per cent) was noticed APS4 bivoltine silkworm race. The significantly highest effective rate of rearing (98.36 per cent), higher weight of ten matured larvae (32.79 g), single shell weight (0.268 g), cocoon shell ratio (21.04 per cent), cocoon yield per 10,000 larvae brushed (15.03 kg), cocoon filament weight (0.209 g), denier value (2.48) and lowest disease incidence (1.92 per cent) was recorded in bivoltine race APS4 reared of mulberry variety 81535. Single cocoon weight (1.27g), cocoon filament length (732.15m), was also recorded in bivoltine silkworm race APS4. The lowest cocoon filament weight (017 g), larval weight (28.93 g,), effective rate of rearing (94.29 per cent), single cocoon weight (1.11 g), single shell weight (0.225 g), shell ratio (20.34 per cent), cocoon yield per 10,000 larvae (12.25 kg), cocoon filament length (697.00 m), cocoon filament weight (0.150 g) and highest disease incidence (3.12 per cent) was recorded in bivoltine silkworm race KSOi reared on mulberry variety Si^s.
