Abstract: The study was under-taken to find out the effect of feedíng cottonseed meal (CSM) in a broiler ration. CSM samples - 8 numbers were analysed, the mean proximate composition (%) are crude protein - 38.44, crude fibre - 12.02, ether extract - 3.27, total ash - 7.22 and nitrogen free extract - 39.05 and the mean major minerals (%) are calcium - 0.21, total phosphorus - 1.13, and minor minerals (mg/kg) are copper - 10.03, iron - 118.50, manganese - 58.22 and zinc - 62.25, the mean total and free gossypol content (%) were 2.65 and 0.42 respectively.
